Zondacrypto Joins Swiss Blockchain Federation to Expand in EU

Zondacrypto, a notable Polish cryptocurrency exchange formerly known as BitBay, has recently made headlines with its induction into the Swiss Blockchain Federation. This move is part of the exchange’s broader strategy to scale its operations across the European Union and solidify its position as a key player in the region.

Established in 2014, Zondacrypto began its journey under Poland’s Finance Intelligence Unit (FIU) license, primarily serving both corporate and individual clients. The exchange provides a diverse range of trading options, including fiat to crypto, crypto to fiat, and inter-crypto transactions. It supports over 70 cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC), along with major stablecoins such as Tether (USDT) and Circle’s USDC, and handles transactions in major currencies like the euro (EUR), British pound sterling (GBP), and Polish zloty (PLN).

The integration into the Swiss Blockchain Federation marks a significant milestone for Zondacrypto. This membership aligns with the exchange’s long-standing commitment to adhere to the highest regulatory standards in the European Union. It follows on the heels of acquiring a license last year to operate as an over-the-counter (OTC) service in Switzerland, reinforcing the exchange’s commitment to providing a secure environment for investors.

The Swiss Blockchain Federation, presided over by Zug Government Councilor Heinz Tännler, is a pivotal organization in the blockchain landscape. It comprises a consortium of experts from various fields, including blockchain technology, economics, and politics, along with significant contributions from the scientific and academic communities. The federation plays a crucial role in promoting Switzerland as a strategic hub for blockchain initiatives and provides a competitive and secure legal framework for the industry.

For Zondacrypto, joining the federation not only enhances its regulatory stature but also paves the way for the launch of new products and services, such as the Zondacrypto token. These initiatives are geared towards facilitating the platform’s growth and enabling it to offer more tailored solutions to its users, particularly institutional investors. The exchange is known for its dedicated application programming interface (API) that offers reduced fees for businesses based on investment volume, alongside a user-friendly interface that includes quick registration processes and unlimited deposits and withdrawals for individual clients.

As Zondacrypto continues to expand its user base, currently over one million with more than 180,000 transactions processed daily, its strategic membership with the Swiss Blockchain Federation is expected to enhance its reputation and operational capabilities within the EU. This partnership not only signifies a robust expansion strategy but also highlights the growing importance of regulatory compliance and strategic alliances in the burgeoning field of cryptocurrency exchanges.
