Ethereum 2024 Upgrades and Impact on Blockchain Industry

Verkle Trees, a new data structure, will make Ethereum nodes more efficient by allowing stateless clients to require less storage space for block verification, contributing to better scalability and user experience.

Decentralization and the economic structure are also addressed in the 2024 roadmap. Strategies to address centralization concerns related to MEV and the dominance of large staking pools include implementing inclusion lists for fair transaction ordering and enhancing the liquid staking model to prevent the centralization of staked Ethereum.
